QA Manager - Marshall

The general purpose of this position is to manage the Quality Assurance Department and build relationships with our customers, team members, communities, vendors, and investors. The focus of this position will be to ensure work is conducted in a safe and quality manner.
Duties:

Ensures design, implementation, oversight, and management of the Quality Assurance Department at the shop level.
Provides final assurance that work performed at the shop meets all regulatory and customer specifications and requirements, and assures that the inspection function in the inbound, in-process, and outbound final phases are executed accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
Contributes to the overall performance of the shop from the standpoints of safety, quality and cost.
Supervises and coordinates activities of QA inspectors to ensure quality conformance prior to release of cars to customers.
Assures that the quality standards of the company are adhered to by all Team Members.
Provides immediate feedback to production personnel and plant management of deficiencies found at the time of inspection, and before final car release.
Investigates and generates responses to internal and external audit findings.
Performs spot inbound, in-process, and outbound inspection audits to ensure compliance with quality program.
Assures that all inspectors are qualified for the inspection methods used per AAR and DOT requirements.
Maintains records documenting the qualification of inspection personnel.
Must have basic computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.
Review qualification records to assure that inspectors are recertified when due.
Holds departmental safety, quality, and production meetings.
Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and health policies, procedures, company policies, and work instructions.
A 100% commitment to comply with all the terms of company's safe work policies and quality functions is an absolute requirement.
Manages, mentors, coaches, and trains team members.
Inspects and ensures workmanship meets government, industry, customer, and company quality requirements.
Participates in root-cause investigations, and corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence.
Handles personnel problems and issues discipline as applicable.
Recommends promotions and other personnel changes; conducts performance reviews.
Performs other duties as required.

Work Environment / Conditions:

Industrial Environment
May work around a multitude of hazardous chemicals / wastes through the supervision / execution of yours and your teams' daily duties while repairing railcars which may be in open or OSHA permit required confined space areas.
Thorough understanding of the MSDS's, company safety policies / practices, and proper use of identified PPE which may involve protective clothing, sleeves, hard hats, foot protection, eye / ear protection, respirator use, etc.
Exposure to elements:
hot / cold
Requires long periods of standing; walking, bending, stooping, climbing, twisting, and entering into confined spaces and elevated surfaces.
Lifting up to 50lbs or more to accomplish work tasks around heavy moving equipment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
